Chemical Peels
Skin connects us to the outside world. It’s part of every smile, every handshake, and most importantly, it protects us from the potentially damaging influences of daily life. Chemical peels remove the outermost layers of the skin, improving and smoothing the texture. Peels can help with melasma, aging skin, fine lines, wrinkles, rosacea, and active acne.
What to expect: Treatments are done in office, a chemical solution is applied to the skin that causes it to exfoliate and eventually peel off. We offer a variety of peel systems starting from very mild for pigmentation and fine lines to acne peels and deeper peels for rejuvenating. Our brands include Glytone and Topix Universal Peel. The type of chemical peel varies depending on your desired outcome and recovery time. An initial consultation with one of our estheticians to help determine which peel is best for you.

Microdermabrasion
Your skin goes through a lot on a daily basis. After continuously fighting against the sun’s harmful rays, harsh winds, toxins and pollution, eventually your complexion will show signs of the battle. Your body’s natural defenses will begin to break down and your skin will appear dry, rough, damaged and dull. Microdermabrasion is a treatment that removes the outer layer that has been exposed – after several sessions, that layer is gone and all of the imperfections that exist on it improve.
What to expect: We offer 2 types of microdermabrasion. The Diamondtome system is a crystal free system, that allows for gentle abrasion to the surface layers of the skin. Treatment with our diamond tipped face wands are considered “lunch hour” procedures. They take about 25 to 45 minutes, and you will be able to return to work and your normal daily activities right away. We also offer the standard crystal based microdermabrasion system, that can allow for a deeper dermabrasion process. The crystal microdermabrasion machines use a hand-held device on the skin to propel a flow of aluminum oxide crystals onto the face. The machine at the same time sucks up excess dirt, dead skin cells and the particles themselves. This treatment requires a bit more down time as the skin will be red from deeper penetration, so it’s recommended to do this before a weekend at home and out of the sun. A consultation with one of our estheticians will help determine which microdermabrasion treatment is best for you.
Hydrodermabrasion
Hydradermabrasion has the same indications for use as microdermabrasion, making it an excellent choice for persons with darker skin tones, aging skin, sensitive skin areas, oily, and dry skin complexions”.[4] A study on the efficacy of hydradermabrasion for facial rejuvenation was conducted comparing volunteers who received hydradermabrasion facial treatments using an antioxidant serum or who just received the same antioxidant serum manually applied to the skin.
What to expect: Skin treated with Hydradermabrasion demonstrated “significantly increased epidermal and papillary dermal thickness, and increased fibroblast density. A study on the efficacy of hydradermabrasion for facial rejuvenation was conducted comparing volunteers who received hydradermabrasion facial treatments using an antioxidant serum or who just received the same antioxidant serum manually applied to the skin. Six treatments were conducted on a 7- to 10-day interval to determine whether antioxidant levels could be increased in the skin and skin quality improved with this technique.
Waxing
Avoid the chore of shaving and tweezing; let us remove the unwanted hair from anywhere on your body. We have a variety of methods at our disposal to make this as comfortable and effective as possible. Our goal is to provide exceptional service, while creating a comfortable and relaxing environment.
Before waxing:
- Allow two weeks or more of growth before your visit. You should have at least 1/2″ of hair growth and no longer than 1″ for Brazilians.
- Limit your caffeine intake on the day of your waxing service, as it can stimulate the nervous system.
- Take 2 to 4 Ibuprofen (if allowed by your doctor) 30 minutes prior to treatment. This may help to dull your pain receptors.
After waxing:
- Don’t expose your skin to sun or tanning booths for 24 hours.
- Don’t workout immediately afterwards.
- Do exfoliate as soon as it is comfortable to do so, this will help to prevent ingrown hairs.
A bit of redness is normal for a few hours after waxing. For best results, you should visit every 4-6 weeks. We offer waxing in both our Castle Hills and Nix locations, if it is your first time please let us know upon scheduling your appointment.
